Kingsman the Secret Service – The perfect blend of action and comedy!

“A super Spy organization recruits an unrefined but promising street kid into the agency’s ultra-competitive training program just as dire global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.”

Warning Spoiler Alert:

Movie review:

“Kingsman: the Secret Service” was one most surprising films from 2015 that proved spy films don’t have to be serious all the time. There is a perfect blend of great action scenes and comedic moments throughout the film. Adapted from the Mark Millar and Dave Gibson comic book series “The Secret Service,” Mathew Vaughn brings the same style of fun and humor he captured in block busters, “Kick-Ass” and “X-Men First Class”. Vaughn brings dynamic style to the action scenes that keep you riveted and wanting to see more. Colin Firth plays a veteran secret agent, code name “Galahad” who made a colossal mistake 17 years ago when he got the father of the main character, Gary Eggsy Unwin killed. Galahad makes up for his mistake by recruiting Eggsy into the Secret Service. The problem is that Eggsy is a street kid and would rather be in prison. The standout star of this movie is Eggsy portrayed by actor, Taron Egerton. His captivating transformation into a superspy steals the entire movie. Samuel L. Jackson and Sofia Boutella give great supporting character performances. However, the characters portrayed by Michael Caine and Mark Strong were lacking in quality dialogue and brought very little to the movie. The ending is also a little controversial and confusing--a quick glimpse of a graphic sex scene that could make some audience members uncomfortable. I am going to give “Kingsman: the Secret Service” 4 out of 5 stars.
