Spoiler review:

“Captain America the Winter Solider” is one of my favorite comic book sequels. After Marvel gave us “Captain America the First Avenger” I was looking forward to the next with great anticipation. I was not disappointed; it met all my expectations. The Russo brothers proved that they can direct a strong sequel. It was filled with dominant characters and action packed pieces. They found a way to combine elements of a comic book and a spy thriller to make a suspenseful and powerful movie. Chris Evans was born to play Captain America. He is both charismatic and dynamic in this role bringing to life a believable and entertaining fictional character. And his chemistry with the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) is outstanding. The film opens up with Captain America adjusting to life in the 21st century. He is working for Shield and is sent to rescue hostages aboard the Lamiarian Star. The mission is going great until the Black Widow saves Shield intel. Captain America discovers that Shield has been taken over by Hydra who is planning to kill everyone who is a threat to them. Now Captain America must team up with Black Widow and Falcon to overthrow Hydra and their most powerful weapon yet, the Winter Solider. If you like action movies, this movie is for you. You will be on the edge of your seat as you watch the fight scenes between the Winter Soldier and Captain America, as well as the internal struggle of Steve Rogers and his best friend Bucky Barnes (aka: the Winter Soldier) – should he kill him or let him go. However, no movie is perfect. There are a few slow scenes which drag on a bit in the middle of the movie. But for the most part it was very entertaining. I give this film a 4 out of 5 stars.
