Spoiler Review: Star Wars Episode VI Return of the Jedi" is the 3rd and final chapter in the original Star Wars trilogy and it is a great 3rd chapter, but it is not as good as the previous 2 movies. After a daring mission to rescue Han Solo (Harrison Ford) from Jabba the Hutt, The Rebel Alliance dispatch to Endor to destroy a more powerful Death Star that can spell certain doom for the Alliance trying to maintain peace for the entire galaxy. Meanwhile, Luke (Mark Hamill) struggles to help Darth Vader, his father, back from the dark side without falling into the Emperor's trap. "Return of the Jedi" is a fun movie with great fast-paced action set pieces like the awesome speeder bike chase on Endor. The action scenes are exhilarating and mesmerizing to watch. My only complaint has to be the visual effects during some of the scenes because they felt dated. The best part of this movie has to be the space battle of Endor. It has to be one of the best battle sequences in cinematic history; the entire battle was visually spectacular, thrilling and exciting. One of my favorite scenes in this movie has to be the confrontation between Luke and Darth Vader. It was very emotional and powerful seeing Darth Vader choose between letting Luke die or save him from the Emperor. Once again the cast give amazing performances and prove that the same characters can improve and evolve over time with a good script and set direction and on screen chemistry. My only disappointment with this movie is that it had the same plot point as "A New Hope"—not much originality. To this day, "Return of the Jedi" is my favorite end to a trilogy and it closes a chapter to a magnificent story that I have loved since I was a small child. For me watching any chapter in the Star Wars trilogy is like enjoying it for the very first time. I am a Star Wars fan for life and I recommend this final trilogy if for no other reason than to see how it comes to an end. I am giving "Return of the Jedi" a 4 out of 5 stars.
