Movie Review:

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of The Lost Ark" is directed by Steven Spielberg, one of the greatest directors working today, and I believe this film is one of the best adventure films ever made. This is one of my favorite movies of all time since I remember seeing it as a young child and it made such an impact on me because it never gets dated. This movie is a great call back to the old adventure series of the 1940's in which Steven Spielberg and George Lucas took inspiration from. Harrison Ford was perfectly casted as Indiana Jones and once again made this an iconic role of the renowned archeologist. Karen Allen plays Indy's ex-flame, the feisty Marion Ravenwood. Ford and Allen are great together; they share an on screen chemistry that portrays character familiarity and a realistic relationship. Most of the supporting cast like Paul Freeman, Ronald Lacey and John Rhys- Davies are outstanding in their roles and are used well. The action scenes are exciting and action packed especially the market chase scenes and the ark scenes. Stephen Spielberg directs with great character development that you actually care about, entertaining action scenes, a talented cast that has chemistry, and iconic moments that will stand the test of time. Stephen Spielberg knows how to transform an action adventure into a timeless masterpiece. I am giving "Indiana Jones and Raider of the Lost Ark" a 5 out of 5 stars.
