Star Wars Episode III Revenge Of The Sith

Synopsis: It has been three years since the Clone Wars began. Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) rescue Chancellor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) from General Grievous, the commander of the droid armies, but Grievous escapes. Suspicions are raised within the Jedi Council concerning Chancellor Palpatine, with whom Anakin has formed a bond. Asked to spy on the chancellor, and full of bitterness toward the Jedi Council, Anakin embraces the Dark Side.

Movie Review: "Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith is the 6th Star Wars movie and the last movie of the trilogy. I feel that it is the best and most watchable of the Star Wars prequels especially after the last two disappointments. This film has a more coherent story and better action set pieces. It takes place three years into the Clone Wars when the Jedi rescues Palpatine from Count Dooku. As Obi-Wan pursues a new threat, Anakin is seduced by the Dark Side and is lured into a sinister plan to rule the galaxy. What makes this movie superior to the last two installments is that it was faster paced and had more action scenes than previous Star Wars movies. There are more positives than negatives in this one so I will start with what I like about this film first. I really enjoyed how the film started out with an awesome space battle that jumped right into the action which none of the prequels has ever done. Hayden Christensen is not great in this movie but he was much better than his character in "Attack of the Clones" -- he made Anakin more mature, less whiney and had better chemistry with Obi-Wan. This movie has a much darker tone than the previous installments portraying more realistic violence and a much grittier feel making it the first PG-13 movie in the Star Wars universe. My favorite scenes in this movie has to when Papatine (Ian McDiramid) manipulates Anakin Skywalker to the Dark Side, and the opera scene when Papatine tells Anakin about the tragedy of Darth Plagueis and the history of the Sith; these scenes are well filmed and extremely intense at the same time expanding the past of the Sith and the Star Wars universe. This movie has the most lightsaber fights than any other Star Wars movie in history. Star War fans have long awaited the lightsaber fight between Yoda and Darth Sidious and it didn't disappoint us – it was well-choreographed, entertaining and action packed. My only problem with this fight was that it went on far too long. This film isn't perfect. Like the rest of the prequels, the dialogue is once again bad and poorly written, especially the scenes between Anakin and Padme. These characters had no chemistry together and it pulls me out of the film every time they have a scene together. "Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith" is full of non-stop action and entertainment but slightly darker than any of the other Star Wars movies. I am giving "Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith" a 3 out of 5 stars.
