A Quit Place

Synopsis: A family is forced to live in silence while hiding from creatures that hunt by sound.

Movie Review: "A Quiet Place" is a horror/suspense movie directed and starring John Krasinski. This movie is one of the best horror films I have seen since last year's "Get Out". "A Quiet Place" is an ambitious, genius and original horror movie that works on every level. It is about a family that is forced to live in silence while hiding from creatures who hunt by sound. John Krasinski directed this movie very well and gives his best performance as the strong and a caring father who sacrifices everything to protect his family. What John Krasinski does that is so brilliant was not showing the audience the creatures. He continues to tease and scare his audience throughout the movie by drawing them in even more as they hope to get a glimpse of the creatures but never revealing them. The jump scares in this film are probably the best I have seen in any previous horror movie and they will leave you breathless, alarmed, and fearful. He, also, cast his real wife, Emily Blunt as his on screen wife; they proved they have great chemistry with each other and this is one of her best roles I have seen her in. The actor who I thought stole the movie was Millicent Simmonds who plays Regan Abbott, the daughter. Her performance was captivating and I can't wait to see her in more things. The sound editing and sound mixing were amazing with quietness and minimal dialogue that was genius and clever. In my opinion, "A Quiet Place" is a real entertaining horror film that is well executed with an intense story that will frightened its audience from beginning to end -- I can't wait to see what John Krasinki does next in his directing career. I Will Give a Quiet Place 5/5 stars.
