Star Trek Beyond

Synopsis: surprise attack in outer space forces the Enterprise to crash-land on a mysterious world. The assault came from Krall (Idris Elba), a lizard-like dictator who derives his energy by sucking the life out of his victims. Krall needs an ancient and valuable artifact that's aboard the badly damaged starship. Left stranded in a rugged wilderness, Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto) and the rest of the crew must now battle a deadly alien race while trying to find a way off their hostile planet.

Movie Review:

"Star Trek Beyond” is the third film in the new rebooted Strat Trek films and is directed this time by Justin Lin who brought a fun, enjoyable and underrated film that will please the die hard trek fans and casual movie fans like myself will love this film. When the Enterprise has entered its third year in deep space the crew of the USS Enterprise decides to go on a mission in deep space to rescue a stranded crew on an unknown planet until they were attacked and the enterprise crew get stranded on an unknown planet. This film felt more like the original television series with a bigger budget it was so much fun to watch with the action scenes and the characters you love interact with each of. When the crew gets stranded on this unknown planet some of the crew gets split up into groups like Captain Kirk is with Chekov played by The late Anton Yelton and has more too do in this film and shine with Chris Pines Performance as Captain James Kirk who is the best Ive seen him in a Star Trek film. Kirk has personal emontinal ark in this film Ibecasiue he is 1 year older then his father before he died and is asking himself why he joined Sarfleet in the first place. Zachary Quinto Returns as Spock and his dynamic with Bones in this film is funny and shows how they are the odd couple and there relationship was a big highlight for the film and Karl Urban was the funniest he’s ever been as Bones. Simon Pegg is back as ship engineer Scotty and once again knocks it out of the park and is used much better in this one and plays a significant role and meets an alien creature who helps him named Jaylah played by the talented Sofia Boutella and steals the show and a stand out in he who entire film she was funny, fearless and a strong female character and her dynamic with the crew including Scotty was great to watch. The weakest storylines the movie was Sulu and Uhura both played by John Cho and Zoe Saldana are good in his film like always but they don’t have lot to do in this film because they are captured in a prison camp the the villain Krall played by Idris Elba who has a personal venda against the Federation and wants to destroy it by using a killer virus wow we haven’t seen that one before. I did like the twist at the end with Krall but it was to late and was ready not interested with his character and felt like just another generic villa I’ve seen a thousand times before. In the beginning the action scenes are somewhat little shaky but when your eyes get used to it the action becomes more enjoyable and fun to watch Justin Lin as did a good job directing this film that you can tell he was a hug Star Trek fan who grew up watching the old show but kept it fresh and somewhat oldschool with some Star Trek references that old Star Trek fan will enjoy. With an emotional core with Captain Kirk and Spock and an exciting action scenes, funny moments with the characters Star Trek beyond is one the best Star Trek Films and an underrated action film but with some weak story elements and a dumb villain that has the same evil plane then any other Star Trek villains Star Trek Beyond is less then perfect. So I am going to give Star Trek Beyond a 4 out of 5 stars.
