Creed II
Synopsis: In 1985, Russian boxer Ivan Drago killed former U.S. champion Apollo Creed in a tragic match that stunned the world. Against the wishes of trainer Rocky Balboa, Apollo's son Adonis Johnson accepts a challenge from Drago's son -- another dangerous fighter. Under guidance from Rocky, Adonis trains for the showdown of his life -- a date with destiny that soon becomes his obsession. Now, Johnson and Balboa must confront their shared legacy as the past comes back to haunt each man.
Movie Review:
"Creed II" is directed by Steven Caple Jr. and is the sequel to the highly successful first Creed film witch I was Highly excited for beaus I am a huge Rocky fan and was a fan of the first film. And I got to tell you I wasn’t disappointed I got a solid sequel with outstanding acting by its key cast, An emotional moments and a satisfying boxing matches that will make you cheer. Creed II takes place three years after the first one and it shows Adonis Creed winning and becoming the world champion in boxing and surpassing his fathers legacy but as soon as he wins the belt Ivan Drago who kills his own father in the ring 30 decades ago issued a challenge for his own son to take on the heavy weight champion. Both Adonis Creed and Rocky have to confront there past and move forward. I loved that aspect and the relationship between Adonis and Rocky was like a father and son and that’s the emotional aspect of The Who entire film. Also his relationship between Adonis and his future wife Bianca was better in this film and stronger It felt real and there is a subplot that Bianca does get pregnant and Adonis needs to think about the future in boxing because it just not him anymore he has people he needs to look out for. Once again Sylvester Stallone is fantastic in this movie that made him famous to begin with and he really brings the emotion and I think Michael B. Jordan was better in this film then the first one because this is more of a Creed movie then a rocky movie and its more about the Creed legacy. Tessa Thompson is surprisingly better in this film and shows some key emotional scenes with Michael B.Jordan. Both Dolph Lundren who returns the role he played in “Rocky IV” as Drago and his son played by actual boxer Florian Munteanu who are surprisingly very good in this film and is Dolph Lundrens best acting ever. This move really showed why Ivan Drago is mad at Rocky after he lost his match 30 years ago and you can understand. Near the beginning of the movie there is a dramatic scene that takes place in Rockies restaurant between him and and Drago was fun to watch. The first match between Adonis Creed and Drago’s son was brutal and sad to watch when Adonis loses the fight. But it was kind of practicable that Adonis was going to come back and train and then he is going to win. This movie was like a combination of other Rocky movies like II, III, and IV. The minor problem KI had with this film it was a little to practicable but it was a Rocky movie after all. The final boxing match between Adonis and Drago’s Son was so fun to watch it was satisfying, and cheerful to watch Adonis Creed living up his father’s Legacy I very loved this film. its not as good ad the first one but this is a solid Sequel and a fun movie to watch If you are a Rocky Fan you are going to love this movie I am going to give "Creed II"a 4 out of 5 stars.
