Movie Review:

“Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse” is the 7th Spider-Man film in this long running franchise from Sony. I thought that the idea of this film was a stupid idea and animated Spider-Man film come on that sounded stupid but I can happily say that this is not just my favorite Spider-Man film it is probably one of my favorite films of the year. Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse finds Miles Morales an ordinary teenager who os bitten by a radioactive spider in the subway and he becomes the Spider-Man of his reality and crosses paths with his counterparts from other dimensions to stop the kingpin who cast open portals to other universes to bring back his family but it would have destroyed the entire city and Miles and his spidey allies must team up and stop Kingpin before he destroys the city. I loved everything about this movie I thought I was going hate the animation style but I loved the style it was unique, and colorful and it felt like you were watching a comic book come to life it was awesome. The voice cast was incredible and well casted like breakout star Shameik Moore who played Miles Morales perfectly played a confused teenager who doesn’t have a strong relationship with his father who is played by Oscar winner Masherhala Ali was the strongest aspect of the film. When Miles gets bit by a spider he feels even more of an outcast until he meets Spiderman played by the always funny Jake Johnson perfectly plays a slacker Peter Parker and was very funny who teaches Miles to become a hero. Hailee Steinfeld plays SpiderGwen or Gwen Stacy who befriends Miles and she brings her cute, funny and sweet personalty to the role she is also a strong female character she was one of the highlights of the film and I want a stand alone from her character. Another highlight of the film was Spiderman Noir and Spider-Ham both played by the great Nicolas Cage and my favorite comedies right now John Mulaney who are both hilarious and steals every scene they are in. The only character that was foregettable was Penny Parker Played by Kimiko Glenn an anime Japanese version of Spiderman was fine and she aunt very forgettable. Every action scenes in this film was unique and fun to watch all the Spidermen work together to defeat Kingpin and his rouge gallery of villains including Hammerhead, Dock Ock, Green Goblin, and Scorpion. The only weakest acepcct fo this film was Wilson Fisk he didn’t wasn’t very develop and was just there for a plot device. This movie is special its fun had heart, exciting with ;fun action scenes that makes you care for all of the characters and a talented voice cast makes this not just a great animated film its a great film period and is one of my favorite films this year. So I am going to give “Spider-man” Into the Spider Verse a 5 out of 5 stars.
