Movie Review:

“Avengers: Endgame" is the 22nd film in the MCU and is directed once again by the Russo brothers who knocked it out of the park. After 11 years and 22 films, this was a satisfying epic conclusion that felt like a long awaited series finale. I loved this movie. With the tragic events of “Infinity War” when Thanos played by the amazing Josh Thanos wiped out half the population, the remaining Avengers must figure out a way to bring everyone back. I loved all the drama in the first part of this film. All of your favorite characters are portrayed and they are grieving and hurting because they never lost before. Here is an overview of most of them. You see Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) confused and running out of options. I really loved what the writers did with the character of Thor in this movie as he loses everything; his father, mother, brother and home. And Chris Hemsworth showed he can deliver a dramatic performance but also be very funny at times. The comedic scenes including his relationship with Rocket and the other Avenges were fun to watch and some of the best parts of this film. Captain America's (Chris Evans) story line is finally wrapped up and in a good way. Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) has lot to do in this movie as he deals with loss and he becomes Ronan and you feel for his character. Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) is one of my favorite characters in this film and he had some great comedic moments with Ant-Man played by Paul Rudd who I thought was one of the standouts in this movie as he is good in the dramatic scenes as well. I loved how they dealt with Captain Marvel (Brie Larson); I felt like she had more of a personality and an arc in this movie but she doesn't have much screen time. The focus is mainly on the original six Avengers Iron Man, Captain America, Hawkeye, Hulk, Black Widow and Thor which I loved. Robert Downey, Jr. (Tony Stark) gave an amazing performance and brought something new to the character—dimension. I loved the fact that every Avenger had an arc in this movie. The second half of this film felt like a heist movie full of surprises, reminding me of “Back to the Future Part II”. The end of the movie might be the best I have ever seen in a comic book film; it was exciting and entertaining—a real larger than life conclusion that energized the audience and made you want to stand up and cheer. The only problem I had with this movie is there are a few minor plot holes that were unclear. This movie was electrifying, emotional and funny, and was a satisfying end to 22 films. I am definitely looking forward to future movies in the MCU. This has to be my favorite comic book film of all times and my favorite movie that came out this year. I am giving "Avenger: Endgame" a 5 out of 5 stars.
