Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw
Synopsis: Ever since hulking lawman Hobbs (Johnson), a loyal agent of America's Diplomatic Security Service, and lawless outcast Shaw (Statham), a former British military elite operative, first faced off in 2015’s Furious 7, the duo have swapped smack talk and body blows as they’ve tried to take each other down. But when cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist Brixton (Idris Elba) gains control of an insidious bio-threat that could alter humanity forever — and bests a brilliant and fearless rogue MI6 agent (The Crown’s Vanessa Kirby), who just happens to be Shaw’s sister — these two sworn enemies will have to partner up to bring down the only guy who might be badder than themselves.
Movie Review:
“Hobbs and Shaw “is the 1st ever “Fast and Furious” spin off move and this movie is a fun, cartoon, over the top enjoyable summer blockbuster that feels like you’re watching an old a lion movie from the 90’s. Hobbs and Shaw is about Lawmen Luke Hobbs and outcast Declared Shaw form an unlikely alliance when a cyber- genetically enhanced villain threatens the future of humanity. What I really liked about this movie was that this movie feels an espionage, action spy movie which gives it a good unique feel to the other Fast and Furious movies that were made in the past few years. What makes this movie work are Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham who have amazing chemistry with each other they were funny, and incredible as partners in this movie there arguing made me laugh every time they were on screen with each other. Vanessa Kirby who plays Hattie Shaw’s sister in the film to me steals the entire show for me she was a rebellious, strong female character who was able to stand out even though it was The Rock and Jason Statham’s movie. Idris Elba who plays Brixton the villain in the movie he was a great in the role he was an intimidating, cheesy villain that felt like an old 90s action villain which works in the film. The action in the film was really over the top and well choreographed to me it was the best action set pieces I have seen in a Fast and Furious film. In Hobbs and Shaw were are 2 great surprise cameos that I did not expect at all they were really surprising and was the funniest part in the movie. Hobbs and Shaw is not a perfect movie the plot is kinda predictable and you know what was going to happen from start to finish. Second The film was 10 minutes to long, and sometime the film would get to ridiculous at time but it did’t effect my viewing at all. In the end Fast and Furious Present Hobbs and Shaw is fun enjoyable popcorn movie that you can enjoy during the summer and if you are a hardcore Fast and Furious fan you will love this movie. Right now this is one of my favorite ones I have seen this franchise maybe since Fast Five. I am goin to Give “Hobbs and Shaw” a 3.5/ 5 stars.
