Movie Review:

“The Terminator” is directed by James Cameron and is one of my favorite movies. This movie perfectly blends horror, action and sci-fi with a great cast of characters. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays the Terminator, a terrifying villain who hunts down Sarah Conner. He delivers well-known one liners that become legendary and the audience falls in love with him. This is the movie that made Schwarzenegger famous and he is definitely the stand out in this film. Linda Hamilton plays Sarah Conner, a very relatable character. She portrays a bad waitress who has trouble with her finances and her life until she is forced to fight and take it back when a computer program called Skynet sends the Terminator back in time to kill her unborn son. Michael Biehn plays Kyle Reese who is the father of Sarah Conner's adult son, John and the strong protector of Sarah. Biehn and Hamilton have great on screen chemistry and it shows especially in the love story scenes. In my opinion, the best scene of the entire movie was the police shoot out scene that occurs in the middle of the film — it was energetic, thrilling and frightening. I did not like some of the visual effects in the final showdown with the Terminator when he gets down to his metal skeleton form; it looks too fake. I believe “The Terminator” is hands down the best Si-Fi movies ever made. It has great acting, masterful directing, strong writing and a perfect blend of horror and action. I am giving "The Terminator” a 5 out of 5 stars.
