Terminator 2: Judgement Day

Synopsis: In this sequel set eleven years after "The Terminator," young John Connor (Edward Furlong), the key to civilization's victory over a future robot uprising, is the target of the shape-shifting T-1000 (Robert Patrick), a Terminator sent from the future to kill him. Another Terminator, the revamped T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger), has been sent back to protect the boy. As John and his mother (Linda Hamilton) go on the run with the T-800, the boy forms an unexpected bond with the robot.

Movie Review:

“Terminator 2: Judgement Day” was directed once again by James Cameron and is the sequel to the original classic science fiction movie simply called “The Terminator”. This sequel is better than the original film in every way like the visual effects, the mythology and the action. When this movie came out in 1991, it was groundbreaking and is the reason why we have great visual effects today. "Terminator 2: Judgement Day takes place 11 years after the first one. John Conner, who is played by Edward Furlong, is a child and is the key to the future of mankind. This role is Furlong's acting debut and he is average as the young Conner. Skynet decides to send a new terminator known as the T-1000 played by Robert Patrick to kill the boy. I really liked this character. He is scarier and more dangerous than the previous terminators. Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to the role that made him a star but this time, he plays the good guy and he had more things to do in this movie because he forms an unexpected bond with John Conner; I loved their father and son dynamic. Linda Hamilton also returns as Sarah Conner and ends up in a mental institution after the tragic events of the first film. Linda Hamilton was fantastic in this film as the iconic, strong female character Sarah Conner who despises the T-800 at first then accepts his help to defeat the T-1000. The visual effects are jaw dropping. Every action scene in this movie is exciting and intense. “Terminator 2: Judgement Day” is one of my favorite movies with its great characters, thrilling action scenes and visual effects, and a terrifying villain. I am giving “Terminator 2: Judgement Day” a 5 out of 5 stars.
