The invisible Man

Synopsis: After staging his own suicide, a crazed scientist uses his power to become invisible to stalk and terrorize his ex-girlfriend. When the police refuse to believe her story, she decides to take matters into her own hands and fight back.

Movie Review:

“The invisible Man” is a movie written and directed by Leigh Whannell and it is a remake of the classic 1933 film named the same name. This movie is a scary, thrilling and suspenseful ride from start to finish, and it tells a very powerful story about domestic abuse and the lives that are affected by it. The story is about a young women named Cecilia who is played by Elisabeth Moss. Moss makes this movie. She is magnificent as she portrays this strong and fearful character who is so effected by her own grief that she questions her state of mind throughout the film. I really liked Storm Reid who plays Sydney Lanier (the daughter of James Lanier played by Aldis Hodge) – in my opinion, she out-shined everyone in the supporting roles with her talented performance. I can’t wait to see what she does next in her career. This movie is really scary and I applaud the director for the way he directed those terrifying scenes that were so intense and unpredictable that they had me jumping out of my seat. This movie did a great job incorporating the Invisible Man character into the story making him real to the audience and I liked the science behind it. The only issue that I have with the film is that there are some plot holes, especially with time travel; Cecilia is able to to move from location to location without explanation. “The Invisible Man” is a well directed, acted, and executed film with some great scares. This is one of my favorite horror remakes I have seen in a long time. I am giving “The Invisible Man” a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
