Movie Review:

“The LoveBirds “was directed by Michael Showalter and is a new comedy staring two of the funniest people in acting right now and delivered a funny delightful but predictable and somewhat silly comedy that I really enjoyed. The two of the best things in this movie were the two leads played by Kumail Najiani and Issa Rae who play a couple that was going to breakup there chemistry with each other was hilarious and every time they argue and how they get themselves into these circumstances and become involved in a murder investigation was very funny. Without these two the movie will suffer a lot too do both it’s formulaic and printable script got annoying until it wasn’t funny anymore. There was a lot of surprising funny Cameos in the movie like Anna Camp who played a twisted southern women who I thought was the villain of the movie but it turns out that she wasn’t and was only in the movie for about 10 minutes which was disappointing because she was very funny in the movie. Who does play the villain is Paul Sparks he plays a character named Moustache an assassin who tries to hunt down Leilani and Jibran and Paul Sparks was kind of bland and he was barley in the movie. There is a twist I near the end about his character which was so predictable I saw it coming. Again the movie was very funny and funny to watch and the Kumail Najiani and Issa Rae were hilarious together there wee great but movie suffers from a weak script, a silly concept and a boring predictable story that felt like I have seen a 100 times But when it is funny it’s funny. I am giving “The LoveBirds” 3 out of 5 stars.
