Kissing Booth 2

Movie review: “The Kissing Booth 2” is the sequel to the 2018 Netfix movie “The Kissing Booth”. In my opinion, both films should not have been made. The only positive that I have to say about this movie is that Joey King who plays Elle is really good in the role. She is charismatic, funny and has great chemistry with Noah (Jacob Elordi). However, this movie has many negatives: the story has many unnecessary subplots that drag the movie down and make it feel longer than it is; the love triangle among Elle (Joey King), Noah (Jacob Elordi), and Marco Pena (Taylor Zakhar Perez) seemed awkward; and the supporting characters like Lee (Joel Courtney) and Rachel (Meganne Young) were just controlling and annoying and too much screen time is focused on their relationship. Netflix has a lot of original movies that are great. but sadly this was not one of them. “Kissing Booth 2” is predictable, boring and too long. I am giving “The Kissing Booth 2” a 1.5/5 stars.
