After We Collided

Synopsis:Tessa finds herself struggling with her complicated relationship with Hardin; she faces a dilemma that could change their lives forever.

Movie Review:

“After We Collided” was directed by Roger Kumble and is the second movie of the YA based novels. I was not a fan of the first film because these aren’t made for me, but I was curious how the second installment turned out. In my opinion, this movie is worse than the first. I hated almost everything about it. My biggest issues are that all of the characters are unlikeable, and the story is predictable. The main character is Hardin played by Hero Fiennes, a bad boy struggling with alcoholism and anger problems. The movie tries to make you feel bad for his character, but he is such a terrible person you don’t care. Tessa is played by Josephine Langford and she is in a toxic relationship with Hardin. Tessa cries, whines and obsesses throughout the movie. Every scene they fight, then she comes back to him like nothing happened and then they get back together; they do the same thing over and over again. It is just frustrating to watch. In every YA novel there is always an unnecessary love triangle. Dylan Sprouse plays Trevor Matthews who works at the same publishing company as Tessa, and he has a thing for her too. Spouse plays a nice guy, but he is awkward and robot like and he is barely in the movie. Just like the first film, the pop music in every scene is overused and inappropriate at times. “After We Collided” might be one of the worst films I have seen this year with its boring plot, one dimensional characters and useless love triangle that doesn’t go anywhere. I am giving “After We Collided” a 1 out of 5 stars.
