65

Synopsis:

Movie Review:

“65” is directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. Unfortunately, this is a science fiction movie that is boring and predictable. Adam Driver plays Mills a pilot that has a tragic past with his biological daughter who learns that he is stranded on planet Earth 65 million years ago, and he must survive. Driver is the best thing in this movie. Ariana Greenblatt plays Koa a teenage girl who must survive too. She and Mills form a bond that was the heart of the movie. They also had some emotional scenes that felt like they were father and daughter. Most of the action scenes with Adam Driver shooting dangerous dinosaurs were exciting and intense, but they got too repetitive. The visual effects of the dinosaurs were unique and different, but near the beginning of the movie the CGI was a bit rough resembling video game graphics. My biggest issue with this movie was predictability…I knew everything that was going to happen, and the ending felt incomplete. Despite some solid acting, this film is a disappointment. I am giving “65” 2.5/5 stars.
