IF

Synopsis: After discovering she can see everyone's imaginary friends, a girl embarks on a magical adventure to reconnect forgotten IFs with their kids.

Movie Review:

"IF" is a family movie directed by John Krasinski that is original and heartwarming, with funny moments that everyone can enjoy. The opening scene feels like a live-action Pixar movie, full of valuable life lessons that can bring a tear to your eye. Cailey Fleming plays Bea, a 12-year-old girl going through a tragedy, and she shines in her emotional scenes, making you really feel for her character. She has great chemistry with Ryan Reynolds, who is hilarious as always, but also has some heartfelt moments that will make you smile.

John Krasinski and Fiona Shaw play Bea's family and they are all wonderful in their roles. Steve Carell voices one of the imaginary friends named Blue, and he is charming, sweet, and funny - kids will love him. However, some of the A-list cast members who voice animated characters, like Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Emily Blunt, Sam Rockwell, Awkwafina, and Maya Rudolph, felt underutilized and their characters lacked development.

My main issue with the movie is that the main story wasn't very interesting, so I didn't feel attached to any of the characters by the end. Overall, "IF" is a sweet and joyful movie with passion from John Krasinsk but it could have been better. I am giving "IF" a 3.5/5 stars.
