Synopsis: Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet's exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence, only those who can conquer their own fear will survive.

Movie Review:

“Dune” is directed by Denis Villeneuve, and it is adapted from one of the greatest science fiction novels of all time. Using amazing visual effects, elaborate costumes, and detailed set designs, this film immediately transports you into this world of Arrakis. I have been a huge fan of Timothee Chalamet for a long time and he doesn’t disappoint in this movie as he delivers an emotional performance. He plays Paul Atreides a young man who is the son of the duke and leader of the planet. Rebecca Ferguson plays Lady Jessica who is Paul’s mother. Her mother and son dynamic with Paul were heartfelt -- rich with backstory, I loved watching their story unfold. Jason Momoa plays Duncan Idaho who is a solider of the house of Atreides, and he has some of the best action scenes in the movie and brings some added humor too. Most of the cast like Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem and Zendaya were likable, and you care about all these characters even though they don’t have a lot of screen time. The only issue that holds this film back is that it felt like the first part of a 3-part story, and it feels incomplete. “Dune” is an entertaining science fiction film, and I am giving “Dune” a 4.5/5 stars.
