Synopsis: In the early 1960s, 19-year-old Bob Dylan arrives in New York with his guitar and revolutionary talent, destined to change the course of American music. Forming his most intimate relationships during his rise to fame, he grows restless with the folk movement, making a controversial choice that reverberates worldwide.

Movie Review:

“A Complete Unknown," directed by James Mangold, is a biopic of the legendary folk singer Bob Dylan. This film is a truly captivating experience that transports you back to the 1960s with incredible performances all around. Timothee Chalamet shines as Bob Dylan, capturing his look, voice, and singing talent perfectly. His portrayal is one of the best performances of his career so far, even though Dylan's character can be a bit of a jerk at times. Edward Norton delivers a standout performance as Pete Seeger, Bob's mentor and fellow folk singer. Monica Barbaro impresses as Joan Baez, adding depth to the complicated relationship with Dylan. Elle Fanning's portrayal of Sylvie Russo, Dylan's girlfriend, is underrated but adds a relatable and likable aspect to Dylan's character. The supporting cast, including Scoot McNairy, Dan Fogler, Eriko Hatsune, and P.J. Byrne, deliver amazing performances that balance drama and comedy effectively. The film showcases Dylan's talent as a singer and songwriter, making me an even bigger fan of his music. The music festival in the third act, where Dylan goes electric and stirs controversy in the folk community, is intense and emotional to watch. Boyd Holbrook did a fantastic job as Johnny Cash, but unfortunately, he was only in the movie for a short time. My main problem with the film was that it was a bit too long and could have been shorter. "A Complete Unknown" is one of my favorite films of the year, and I would give it a rating of 4.5 out of 5.
