Synopsis: Levon Cade left behind a decorated military career in the black ops to live a simple life of working construction. However, when human traffickers kidnap his boss's daughter, his search to bring her home uncovers a world of corruption far greater than he ever could have imagined.

Movie Review:

"A Working Man" is a new action movie directed by David Ayer and starring Jason Statham. It's a fun throwback to the early 90's action films, with fast-paced action scenes that are entertaining to watch. Statham plays Levon Cade, a construction worker with a military background. He's the standout in the movie, with a great emotional backstory and a moral compass that makes you root for him.

The action scenes are exciting, intense, and violent, making them a blast to watch. David Harbour and Michael Pena also give decent performances as characters who help Levon on his mission, but I felt they were a bit underutilized. Arianna Garcia, who plays Jenny Garcia, the young woman who gets kidnapped, delivers a strong performance as someone fighting to survive.

However, the movie's tone is a bit uneven, shifting between serious moments dealing with human trafficking and over-the-top Russian bad guys that turn it into a cheesy comedy at times. The multiple subplots make the movie feel overlong and unnecessary, and the abundance of villains adds to the chaos.

Overall, "A Working Man" is at its best when Statham is kicking butt in action scenes, but it's brought down by some silly moments and an overly complicated plot. I'd give it a 3/5 stars.
