Bad Boys: Ride or Die

Synopsis: When their late police captain gets linked to drug cartels, wisecracking Miami cops Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett embark on a dangerous mission to clear his name.

Movie Review:

"Bad Boys: Ride or Die" is directed by the dynamic duo of Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, marking their second collaboration on this action-packed franchise. This fourth installment is a summer blockbuster filled with adrenaline-pumping excitement that is a must-watch. Will Smith returns as Miami Detective Mike Lowrey, showcasing a new side to his character as he navigates the challenges of growing up, maturing, and getting married. Smith delivers a stellar performance, as always.

Martin Lawrence reprises his role as Marcus, Mike's partner, and their on-screen chemistry is as hilarious and entertaining as ever, making their brotherly relationship a joy to watch. Vanessa Hudgens and Alexander Ludwig also shine in their roles, adding depth to the plot and becoming integral to the story.

Jacob Scipio steals the show as Armando Armas, Mike's adult criminal son, with a redemption storyline that is both refreshing and compelling. The action sequences in this film are top-notch, immersing viewers in the heart-pounding intensity of the scenes.

Eric Dane delivers a solid performance as the villain McGrath, a former military soldier, although his storyline feels somewhat generic and predictable. Despite some shortcomings in the humor department and a few predictable twists, the film's third act is a thrilling rollercoaster of non-stop action.

"Bad Boys: Ride or Die" is a fun and exciting addition to the franchise, proving that after 20 years, there is still plenty of life left in these beloved characters. I am giving it a 3.5/5 stars.
