Movie Review:

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is directed once again by Ryan Coogler. It is the 30th film in the MCU, and it is the sequel to the 2018 hit movie. In my opinion, this is a powerful and emotional superhero movie with some of the best acting in a comic book film I have seen all year. The most engaging performance is Angela Bassett as Queen Ramonda the leader of Wakanda who has lost everything but must stay strong for her kingdom and country. Letitia Wright returns to play Shuri the sister of the previous Black Panther King T’Challa who takes over the lead role after the loss of Chadwick Boseman and she did it perfectly. I loved her heartbreaking story. Danai Gurira (Okoye) and Lupita Nyong’O (Nakia) both return to their roles from the first film and they are incredible in the action scenes. Winston Duke is back as M’Baku who has some of the funniest scenes in the film, but he is sidelined and didn’t have a lot to do in this movie. Tenoch Huerta plays the villain of Namor a leader of an underwater country, and he is a great villain. The third act is filled with amazing action scenes that are intense to watch. The movie is a little bit bloated with new character Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) who was only there to set up future movies in the MCU. This movie is a well-acted and an emotional tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman. I am giving “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” a 4.5/5 stars.
