Movie Review:
"Blink Twice" marks Zoe Kravitz's directorial debut, and it's an original thriller that showcases her talent for creating entertaining, funny, dark, and twisted films. This movie is definitely one of the most interesting ones of the year. With her unique style, fantastic eye for the camera, and attention to detail, Zoe Kravitz has a promising future as a director.
Naomie Ackle shines as Frida, a young cocktail waitress who is struggling but remains relatable and likable. Channing Tatum delivers a memorable performance as Tech Billionaire Slater King, showcasing his charm and ability to switch between creepy and dark. Adria Arjona steals the show as Sarah, a popular reality star with hilarious humor and a captivating storyline.
The supporting cast, including Christian Slater, Alia Shawkat, Haley Joel Osment, and Geena Davis, all stand out in their roles. While the movie takes a bit long for the twists and turns to unfold, the payoff is worth it. The subject matter and reveals in the film can be disturbing, making it a challenging watch at times. Some twists may not make sense, but the ending is satisfying.
Overall, "Blink Twice" may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's a well-acted, darkly comedic thriller that keeps you engaged from start to finish. I am giving “Blink Twice” a 3.5/5 stars.
