BOb Marley: One Love

Synopsis: Jamaican singer-songwriter Bob Marley overcomes adversity to become the most famous reggae musician in the world.

Movie Review:

“Bob Marley: One Love” is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, and it is a biopic of Bob Marley a singer songwriter. This was an enjoyable, well-acted bio pic that was a crowd pleaser.  Kingsley Ben-Adir plays the music legend, and he captured his free spirted nature who tries to make peace with the power of music. Lashana Lynch plays Rita Marley Bob’s wife, and she has some of the most emotional and powerful scenes in the movie and her character is the heart of the movie. James Norton plays Chris Blackwell his producer, but he doesn’t appear until the second half of the movie. The music performances in the movie were outstanding, intense, and engaged the audience. My biggest issue with this movie was the lack of time spent on his early life with just quick flashbacks on his teenage years that seemed generic and safe. “Bob Marley: One Love” was still an entertaining time at the movies. I am giving it a 3.5/5 stars.
