Movie Review:

“Bullet Train” is directed by David Leitch and is based on the graphic novel of the same name. This is an action movie starring Brad Pitt that is witty and full of super over the top action scenes that are fun to watch. Brad Pitt plays Ladybug an assassin who doesn’t really want to kill anyone. He wants to resolve fights by trying to talk his way out of it. Pitt’s character is hilarious, and he kept me laughing throughout. Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry play twin assassins Tangerine and Lemon, and they had great on-screen chemistry. This movie is loaded with a top-notch cast including Sandra Bullock, Logan Lehrman, Michael Shannon, Bad Bunny and Zazie Beetz who were all used well for the story. The two best side characters were Hiroyuki Sandada and Andrew Koji who play father and son. Their incredible marital arts skills standout in the action scenes. As much as I enjoyed the first two acts, the third act went over the top silly that took me out of the movie at times. Also, I am fan of Joey King as an actress, but I wasn’t a fan of her character. She plays a young assassin named Prince and I thought her story was flat and boring. But my biggest issue was there are too many characters with lots of back stories which felt overcrowded and confusing. Overall, I enjoyed this movie with its action scenes, A-list cast, and witty dialogue. I am giving “Bullet Train” a 3.5/5 stars.
