Enola Holmes 2

Synopsis: Enola Holmes takes on her first case as a detective, but to unravel the mystery of a missing girl, she'll need some help from friends -- and brother Sherlock.

Movie Review:

“Enola Holmes 2” is directed by Harry Bradbeer, is based on the popular YA Novels of the same name and is the sequel to the 2020 film. This is an entertaining detective sequel with two great leads. Millie Bobby Brown once again returns as Sherlock’s little sister Enola Holmes who is witty, smart and her character steals the show. Henry Cavill returns to play the greatest detective of all time Sherlock Holmes who is clever with a dry sense of humor, and he has a bigger role in this movie. Cavil and Brown have great chemistry with their witty dialogue and hilarious moments. Louis Partridge returns as Lord Tewkesbury, and he is just there to be the ‘damsel’ in distress and to fall in love with Enola. My biggest issues with this movie are that it feels to bloated with a lot of storylines and plot points that make the movie feel unfocused. David Thewlis plays the villain who is a dirty cop, but his character is weak and cartoonish. Also, the movie seemed too long at times. However, there are some cool surprising characters that appear at the end of the movie (if you are a fan of the Sherlock Holmes’ books you will love it). And there are some intense action scenes that were fun to watch. I really like this movie, but the first movie was more focused. I am giving “Enola Holmes 2” a 3.5/5 stars.
