Enola Holmes 3

Synopsis: Adventure follows detective Enola Holmes to Malta, where her plans to tie the knot unravel when Sherlock's disappearance plunges her into a perilous case. 

Movie Review: 

"Enola Holmes 3" is directed by Philip Barantini, marking the third installment in the story of young Enola Holmes, Sherlock Holmes' sister. This time around, she's preparing for her wedding, but things take a turn when her brother gets kidnapped, prompting her to take on the case. While the film has its entertaining moments and some fun action scenes, it ultimately feels a bit dull. Millie Bobby Brown reprises her role as Enola, bringing her usual charm, intelligence, and fun energy to the character. The standout aspect of the movie is the romantic relationship between Enola and Tewkesbury, played by Louis Partridge, who delivers a solid performance. Their love feels genuine and relatable, with great chemistry built up from the previous films. Henry Cavill returns as the iconic Sherlock Holmes, and while he does well, his role is limited due to his character's kidnapping, making it seem like he could have been left out entirely. Helena Bonham Carter appears as Enola's mother, Eudoria, but her cameo feels wasted and insignificant. Himesh Patel plays Dr. Watson, Sherlock's partner, and while he does a decent job, his character lacks depth and is somewhat forgettable. The villain reveal comes off as forced and repetitive, making it feel like we've seen this before. Although the action is enjoyable, it becomes repetitive and loses its spark towards the end, leading to an anticlimactic third act that feels rushed. Despite this, Millie Bobby Brown's charismatic performance helps elevate the film for me, so I'm giving "Enola Holmes 3" a 3 out of 5 stars.
