Eternals

Synopsis: The Eternals, a race of immortal beings with superhuman powers who have secretly lived on Earth for thousands of years, reunite to battle the evil Deviants.

Movie Review:

“Eternals” is directed by Chloe Zhao, and it is the 26th film in the MCU. And this might be the most unique and complex films in the entire MCU or superhero films. This film has action, funny humor, and diverse characters that I want to see again, and it expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a great sense of wonder. Gemma Chan plays Sersi one of the main characters of the movie and she is strong, has a lot of emotion, and you like her as soon as she is introduced. Richard Madden plays Ikaris who is the strongest Eternal and is like the MCU’s Superman. He has some emotional scenes with Seris and their relationship is authentic. The standouts in the movie are Kumail Nanjiani who plays Kingo and Barry Keoghan who plays Druig. They are the funniest Eternals that made me laugh every time they are on screen. Along with their dynamic powers, they have some of the best action scenes I have seen. Some of the best things in this film are the family elements and the relationships with every single Eternal. The supporting cast was great with Kit Harington, Angelina Jolie and Brian Tyree Henry. This film does have a lot of flaws. The villains who are the evil Deviants are creatures that looked cool, but they were not that interesting. It has a weak third act with no resolution. And the moves don’t feel like a Marvel movie, and there are too many flashbacks and explanations that slowed down the pacing. I thought “Eternals” is an ambitious and entertaining superhero film. So, I am giving “Eternals” a 3.5/5 stars.
