Everything Everywhere all At Once

Synopsis: When an interdimensional rupture unravels reality, an unlikely hero must channel her newfound powers to fight bizarre and bewildering dangers from the multiverse as the fate of the world hangs in the balance.

Movie Review:

“Everything Everywhere All at Once” is directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheninert, and it is an original science fiction movie done in the most creative, unique, and bizarre way. This movie is a mix of different genres like a time travel multiverse science fiction film, then it turns into a kung fu type movie, then a relationship drama. Michelle Yeoh plays Evelyn Quan an aging Chinese immigrant and laundry owner who must race against time to save the world. Her character is relatable, funny, and great in her action scenes. I think this is her best role in a long time. Ke Huy Quan plays Waymond Wang her husband, and he has amazing chemistry with Michelle Yeoh. Stephanie Hsu plays Joy Wang the daughter, and her complicated relationship with her mother is the heart of the story. She also plays multiple versions of herself when she turns out to be the villain of the movie. Stephanie Hsu’s performance is incredible as Joy Wang. James Hong and Jamie Lee Curtis play important roles in the film, and a lot of fun things happen with these two characters that were strange and odd but work. The action scenes were dynamic, fast paced, and exciting to watch. The only issue I had with this movie is that it’s too long. But this is one of my favorite films of the year. I am giving “Everything Everywhere All at Once” a 4.5/5 stars.
