Fly Me To The Moon

Synopsis: Sparks fly between a marketing executive and a NASA official as he makes preparations for the Apollo 11 moon landing.

Movie Review:

"Fly Me To The Moon," directed by Greg Berlanti, is a delightful romantic comedy that exceeded my expectations. This film is filled with heart, charm, and incredible chemistry between the two main leads. Scarlett Johansson shines as Kelly Jones, a smart Marketing Executive who isn't afraid to bend the truth to get ahead in life. Her charm, beauty, and intelligence make her one of the most captivating characters in a romantic comedy in recent memory.

Channing Tatum delivers an emotional performance as Cole Davis, a NASA Official overseeing the Apollo 11 Moon Landing. His portrayal of a man with a deep sense of purpose and care for his mission is truly moving. The tragic event that befalls his character during the first Apollo mission adds depth and makes you truly empathize with him.

The chemistry between Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson is the heart and soul of this film. Their on-screen presence is captivating and makes the romantic elements of the movie truly shine. The supporting cast, including Ray Romano and Woody Harrelson, adds humor and comedic moments that will leave you smiling.

Jim Rash steals the show as Lance Vespertine, an uptight commercial director with some of the funniest moments in the film. His character adds a unique and entertaining dynamic to the story. While the film excels in its romantic elements, it does struggle when it veers into heist movie territory, reminiscent of "Ocean's 11."

At times, the film can feel a bit predictable and cheesy, giving it a slightly TV movie-like quality. Additionally, the runtime could have been trimmed by about 10 minutes to keep the pacing tight. Overall, "Fly Me To The Moon" is a sweet and delightful romance that is sure to leave you with a smile on your face.

I am giving this movie a 3.5/5 stars.
