Synopsis: A well-meaning but inept angel named Gabriel meddles in the lives of a struggling gig worker and a wealthy venture capitalist.

Movie Review:

"Good Fortune" is directed by Aziz Ansari, marking his directorial debut. It's an original comedy filled with funny and clever moments, along with a sweet message about kindness and wealth, making it an enjoyable watch. Aziz also stars as Arji, a gig worker who's really down on his luck—jobless and homeless. He delivers a solid performance that makes him relatable and funny, using his comedic timing to bring laughs every time he's on screen.

Seth Rogan plays Jeff, a wealthy capitalist, and he gives a decent performance as a selfish, silly rich guy who spends money on himself. Despite his flaws, he remains funny and likable. The chemistry between him and Aziz is great, making their scenes together hilarious.

Keanu Reeves plays Gabriel, a down-on-his-luck angel who steals the show with some of the funniest scenes and memorable lines. His dry humor and silliness make his character stand out as the best part of the movie.

Keke Palmer portrays Elena, Arji's love interest. While she gives a charming and charismatic performance, the lack of chemistry with Aziz makes their love story feel dull and unnecessary.

Sandra Oh plays Martha, the leader of the angels. Although she does well, her character feels wasted and could have been played by anyone.

Overall, the movie has some great humor but isn't exactly hilarious, which is a bit disappointing. It also becomes predictable towards the end, reminiscent of many old-school comedies. "Good Fortune" is a solid, funny directorial debut for Aziz Ansari, and I’d rate it a 3.5/5 stars.
