Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3

Synopsis:

Still reeling from the loss of Gamora, Peter Quill must rally his team to defend the universe and protect one of their own. If the mission is not completely successful, it could possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

Movie Review:

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3” is directed by James Gunn for the third time, and it is the 32nd movie of the MCU. This is the conclusion to Gunn’s trilogy which is an emotional epic and action-packed film. I thought this is one of the best Marvel movies filled with lots of emotional moments with all the core members of the Guardians represented. Chris Pratt returns to play Peter Quill aka Starlord the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy and once again he is incredible as this funny, caring, and relatable character. Zoe Saldana returns to play Gamora. However, this Gamora is from the past with no previous connections to the Guardians, and she is violent this time around. Dave Bautista plays Drax the Destroyer who has more to do in this movie with some great action sequences that makes him a standout throughout the film. Pom Klementieff (Mantis) and Karen Gillian (Nebula) have intense character arcs that are well written. Vin Diesel voiced Groot who doesn’t have much to do in this movie, but he is always fun to watch. The person that steals the show is Rocket Racoon voiced by Bradley Cooper. Rocket reveals a heartbreaking and tragic back story that is devastating which helps you understand why he is so stubborn. Chukwudi Iwuji plays the villain the High Evolutionary a despicable evil warlord who kills innocent beings. The only weak character is Adam Warlock played by Will Poulter a golden Android like superman, but he is sidelined for most of movie. James Gunn delivered another great movie for the MCU. I am giving “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3” a 4.5/5 stars.
