Heart of Stone

Synopsis: Rachel Stone is an intelligence operative, the only woman who stands between her powerful global peacekeeping organization and the loss of its most valuable -- and dangerous -- asset.

Movie Review:

“Heart of Stone” is directed by Tom Harper and is a new Spy thriller that tries to be other classic spy movies in the past like the “Mission Impossible” franchise and Bond but Fails at both with a convoluted story, boring characters makes this a disappointment for me. The only thing that is watchable is Gal Gadot as Rachel Stone an Intelligence operative working for M.I.6 she tries her best with a weak script that gives her some fun action scenes to work with, but her character was so uninteresting that I didn’t care about her. Jamie Dornan was fine in this movie to as Parker another M.I.6 operative and he was fine until a laughable predictable twist with his character that made him just a cliché character that I have seen a dozen times in other spy movies that are better. Alia Bhatt plays Keya Dhawan the villain of the movie and she was an over-the-top cheesy hacker that was predictable that didn’t do anything memorable. The rest of Rachel’s team Matthias Schwighofer (Jack of Hearts) and Sophie Oknedo didn’t have anything to do but just tell her where to go and what to do made their characters be wasted. Both Glenn Close and B.D Wong were wasted as well. The Biggest disappointment in this movie were the action set pieces were just generic, basic, and not well filmed that made it boring to watch even though there are some fun fist fights near the end of the movie. As I am a huge fan of Gal Gadot this is a forgettable spy movie that you can skip I am giving “Heart of Stone” 2/5 stars.
