Movie Review:

“Killers of the Flower Moon” is directed by Martin Scorsese and is based on actual events that inspired the book of the same name. For me this movie delivered a cinematic experience that makes it one of the best films I have seen all year. This was an important story about betrayal, greed, murder, and religion that made it riveting from beginning to end. Leonardo DiCaprio plays Ernest Burkhart a war hero who returns and gets involved in a criminal conspiracy that rocked the nation. He gives an amazing performance as this naïve, unlikable character that does some despicable things because of his uncle. Robert De Niro plays William Hale Ernest Burkhart’s uncle who wants power, money, and all the oil from the Osage tribe. Lily Gladstone steals the show as Mollie Burkhart Ernest’s wife. The movie is told through her perspective of the murders of her family, and she delivers some moving scenes. Jesse Plemons plays Tom White a F.B.I Agent investigating the murders; he gives a subtle performance but effective. The only performance that I had an issue with was Branden Frasier as an overweight lawyer who was distracting, over the top, and cartoon like. “Killers of the Flower Moon” was an emotional movie that never missed a beat. I am giving it a 4.5/5 stars.
