Movie Review:

"Snow White," directed by Marc Webb, is the latest live-action remake of Disney's beloved 1937 animated classic. While it brings the story to life with music, dance, and a nostalgic vibe, it unfortunately stumbles with some over-the-top acting, cartoonish CGI, and a predictable storyline, making it one of the weaker entries in Disney's live-action lineup.

The standout performance comes from the talented Rachel Zegler, who plays Snow White. She perfectly embodies the character's delightful personality, kindness, and stunning singing voice, making her shine brighter than the other actors in the film. Marc Webb does a commendable job of expanding Snow White's backstory, giving her a more relatable edge for modern audiences.

The Seven Dwarfs—Sneezy, Happy, Doc, Bashful, Grumpy, Sleepy, and Dopey—are a charming addition to the film. Their chemistry with Snow White is sweet, and they deliver some of the funniest moments that had me chuckling.

However, the film takes a strange turn with the introduction of a group of bandits that feels out of place and adds unnecessary chaos, making it seem like I was watching a different movie altogether. Andrew Burnap, who plays Jonathan, the prince, gives a decent performance with a good singing voice and some dance moves, but the chemistry between him and Rachel just isn’t there. Their love story feels forced and rushed.

As much as I admire Gal Gadot, her portrayal of the Evil Queen felt miscast. Her performance came off as overly dramatic and cartoonish, which detracted from the film's overall tone. The third act also felt rushed, hammering home the movie's messages about kindness and equality a bit too forcefully.

In the end, "Snow White" is a mixed bag—an attempt at remaking a classic that doesn’t quite hit the mark. I’d give it a 2.5 out of 5 stars.
