Movie Review:

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” is once again directed by John Watts, and it is the 27th film of the MCU. This Spider-Man film has the right amount of fan service for someone who grew up loving Spider-Man. This is one of the darkest and emotional MCU films I have seen, and it showed me why I loved this character so much. Tom Holland reprises his role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man for the 6th time, and he gives an emotional and heartbreaking performance; this is the best that I have seen from him. I loved his relationships with all his friends and family, especially, his relationship with his girlfriend MJ played by Zendaya. These two actors have great chemistry on screen. Jacob Batalon plays Ned (Spiderman’s best friend) and their friendship is full of humor throughout the movie. Benedict Cumberbatch returned to play Doctor Strange, and he didn’t overshadow Spider-Man but was more of a supporting character. They brought in fan favorite villains from previous “Spider-Man” films like Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Electro and others and they all have character arcs that make sense. One of the standouts is William Dafoe who came back as Norman Osborne/Green Goblin delivered an amazing performance; he never disappoints. This might heave one of the best third acts in any Spider-Man film ever. The movie does have some fun cameos and great surprises. The only issue I had was the beginning was a little slow, but other than that this is an exciting and emotional comic movie. I am giving “Spider-Man: No Way Home” a 4.5/5 stars.
