Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem

Synopsis: After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers. Their new friend, April O'Neil, helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.

Movie Review:

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” is directed by Jeff Rowe and it is the 7th feature film in this popular comic book franchise. This is an action-packed animated movie that is fun for everyone especially those who grew up watching the Ninja Turtles. The turtle Raphael voiced by Brady Noon is the toughest of all the turtles which made him the best in the action scenes. The turtle Leonardo voiced by Nicolas Cantu is a loyal, respectable leader which makes him lovable to all the turtles. The turtle brothers Mikey, Leo, Ralph, and Donny had great chemistry with each other, and their portrayal of teenagers was funny and relatable. Master Splinter is played by Jackie Chan who steals the show as the uptight overprotective father, and he adds lots of comedy to this film. There were some great pop culture references that felt nostalgic that were smartly written. Ayo Edebiri plays April’O Neil who had an important story about peer pressure, stage fright, and acceptance. Ice Cube plays the villain of superfly (a mutant fly who wants to destroy the world) and he was amazing as this character. This movie had a wide range of talented voice cast like Paul Rudd, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Seth Rogan and Giancarlo Esposito. The only issue I had was that the move was a too short, and it ended quickly. If you are a fan of this franchise, then you will love “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem”. I am giving this movie a 4.5/5 stars.
