Thanksgiving

Synopsis: An Axe- Wielding Maniac terrorizes residents of Plymouth, Massachusetts after a Black Friday riot ends in tragedy. Picking off Vicitms one by one, the seemingly random revenge killings soon become part of a larger, sinster plan.

Movie Review: "Thanksgiving" is directed by Eli Roth, and it is the new holiday horror slasher movie that is a fun throwback to some classic 90's slashers ( like, "Scream", "Halloween" and "I Know What you did last Summer"). This movie has Eli Roth's style with bloddy kills, and gruesome gore scenes that will make you squeal. Neil Verlaque plays Jessica the likable, strong main protagonist who gets hanted by the killer. The other characters Gabby ( Addison Rae), Ryan (Milo Manheim) , Bobby (Jalen Thomas Brooke), Amy (Shailyn Gffins) Lonie( Mika Amonson) and Scuba ( Gabirel Davenport) were generic teenagers in a slasher movie that are just there to get killed. Patrick Dempsey plays Eric Newlon the Sheriff of Plymoth who is a charismatic but mysterious guy with a los of secrets. There is a great killer reveal that made senes for the story. My biggest issue was near the end of the movie-- the story ends quickly in a silly way with many unanswered questions-- it could be set up for a sequel. However, I felt that this was an enjoyable horror movie, so if you ara a fan of slashers, this one is for you. I am giving "Thanksgiving" 3.5/5 stars.
