Movie Review:

“The Bad Guys” is directed by Pierre Perifel, and it is the new DreamWorks animation movie full of interesting action scenes and great characters with lots of emotional moments. This does feel like a fun heist movie like “Ocean’s Eleven”. Sam Rockwell voices Mr. Wolf someone who is tired of being one of the bad guys and he is relatable, funny, and charming as this multi-dimensional character. Ms. Tarantula voiced by Awkanfina and Anthony Ramos who plays Mr. Piranha were hilarious, and they brought a lot of their personality and wit to their roles. This movie does have some musical moments that were fun to watch. The person who stole the show was Marc Maron who voiced the grumpy Mr. Snake, and he has some of the funniest moments of the film. Craig Robertson and Zazie Beetz were great as their characters. Some issues I observed were -- As soon as all the characters do get introduced you can tell what is going to happen next. And Richard Ayoade plays the villain Professor Marmalade (a little hamster), but he is a weak villain. That said, this is a great movie for any age group. I am giving “The Bad Guys” a 4/5 stars.
