The Flash

Synopsis:

Worlds collide when the Flash uses his superpowers to travel back in time to change the events of the past. However, when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, he becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation. With no other superheroes to turn to, the Flash looks to coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian -- albeit not the one he's looking for.

Movie Review:

“The Flash” is directed by Andy Muschietti, and it is the 14th movie in the DCEU. This is a fun movie that has great nostalgic moments from previous DC movies. Ezra Miller returns to play Barry Allen (the Flash) and he is fantastic as this character. I loved the emotional story about his mother’s death and how he loses his whole family. Ezra also plays a younger annoyingly funny18-year-old Barry, and those scenes were hilarious to watch. Michael Keaton returns to play Batman after 30 years and he steals the show with his iconic lines from pervious movies. And his action scenes prove even though he is older, he shows his toughness and can win a fight. Sasha Calle plays Supergirl, and she is strong, Independent and has some amazing action scenes. I wish she appeared more in the movie. Ben Affleck plays Batman/Bruce Wayne one last time. Although he had about five minutes of screen time, he had a great action scene in the beginning that felt like classic Batman. Both Ron Livingston and Maribel Verdu play Barry’s parents and they were the heart of the story that captured some emotional scenes. Kiersey Clemons plays Iris West Barry’s love she added some humor throughout the film. There are lots of surprising cameos from characters from other DC movies that I loved seeing. Near the end of the movie, it does get a little bit chaotic and messy, but it does tie everything up at the end. There were some issues with the movie -- bad CGI, and I was not impressed with the visual effects – they reminded me of a video game. But this is still a nostalgic and thrilling DC movies. I am giving “The Flash” a 4/5 stars.
