Movie Review:

"The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes" is the 5th film in this popular YA book series and is the prequel to how Coriolanus Snow becomes the tyrannical President and monster in the other four films in the franchise. This is a pretty good prequel that explains how and why Snow became evil and expands on the lore and mythology of the franchise. In this movie, every main character is fleshed out with amazing character development. Tom Blyth is a star in the making playing a young Snow who balances his innocent side with dark evil side as he wants to make changes in the goverment and a name for himself. Rachel Zegelar plays Lucy Grey Baird the tribute of district 12 and she has a charming personaltiy, a strong determination, and a beautiful singing voice that made you fall in love with her character. There is a powerful on-screen chemistry between the characters of Snow and Lucy as he meets. mentors and falls in love with her. Peter Dinklage and Viola Davis play despicable people who are responsible for the Hunger Games in the first place. The point in the movie when the 10 annual Hunger Games occur is the best part of the movie with non-stop action, stakes ans emotions that are exting to watch. There were some issues with the movie. While the main characters were deveolped, someside characers were wasted and didn't have much to do. Some parts were long and drawn out leaving unanswered questions. But this was still an enertaining prequel I am giving "Hunger Games: Balled Songbirds & Snakes" a 4/5 stars.
