Synopsis: A string of violent robberies in the Pacific Northwest leads veteran FBI agent Terry Husk to a white supremacist group; the group plans to overthrow the federal government.

Movie Review:

"The Order," directed by Justin Kurzel, is a new crime thriller based on actual events in the mid-1980s. This film is incredibly well-acted and intense, making it one of the best cop thrillers I've seen all year. Jude Law is amazing as Terry Husk, a veteran FBI agent who is flawed and obsessed with the case. His performance truly showcases his talent as an actor, bringing his character to life in a three-dimensional and compelling way.

Nicholas Hoult steals the show as Robert Jay Mathews, the leader of a White supremacy terrorist group. His portrayal is terrifying, riveting, intelligent, and dangerous, elevating him to one of the best villains of the year. Tye Sheridan also delivers a fantastic performance as Debbie Mathews, a young deputy of the sheriff department who is determined, confident, and caring. His character makes you truly care about him.

The film features intense cop shootouts reminiscent of Michael Mann's classic "Heat," adding to the riveting and realistic feel of the movie. While I enjoyed Jurnee Smollett's performance as FBI agent Joanee Carney, her character lacked development and didn't have much to do in the story.

Overall, "The Order" delivers an emotional and tragic message about hatred that remains relevant today. It's definitely one of my favorite movies of the year, and I would give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.
