Thor: Love and Thunder

Synopsis: Thor embarks on a journey unlike anything he's ever faced -- a quest for inner peace. However, his retirement gets interrupted by Gorr the God Butcher, a galactic killer who seeks the extinction of the gods.

Movie Review:

Directed by Taika Waititi, “Thor: Love and Thunder is the 29th MCU movie and is the fourth film in the Thor franchise. This movie feels more like a romantic action comedy that is entertaining throughout. Chis Hemsworth returns to play the God of Thunder Thor and this time around he shows the more comedic side of Thor rather than the serious. But he does have some great emotional scenes that are heartbreaking to watch. Hemsworth is just amazing as Thor. One of the most surprising things in the movie was the return of Natalie Portman after a long absence as Jane Foster. Her character has a powerful storyline that was the heart and soul of the movie. And her actions scenes were intense and her relationship with Thor matures and changes with time. Christian Bale plays the main villain Gorr the God Butner who wants to kill all the gods. His backstory explains a motivation for his evil, and I wish he was in the movie more. I loved Tessa Thompson as King of Asgard Valkyrie; she had great action scenes. It was fun to see some of the Guardians of the Galaxy characters in the opening scene – it was very nostalgic. The only issue I had with this movie is that the plot gets silly and over the top ridiculous at times, especially when Russel Crowe appears as the God Zeus. Besides that, I really enjoyed this action-packed movie. I am giving “Thor: Love and Thunder” a 4/5 stars.
