Movie Review:

“Ticket to Paradise” is directed by Ol Parker, and it is a new romantic comedy that stars two big names in Hollywood George Clooney and Julia Roberts. I found this movie to be a funny rom com that doesn’t break any new ground but is entertaining to watch. The best thing in this movie is the chemistry between George Clooney and Julie Roberts; their performances carry the movie. Their bickering and plotting with each other were hilarious. Kaitlyn Dever plays Lily Cotton the daughter who is getting married, and she is the only character that knows what she wants. Maxime Bouttier plays Gede Lily’s fiancé, and he holds his own as the unknown in the film. Billie Lord plays Wren Butler the best friend who is irresponsible, wants to drink all day and is the comedic relief, but she is sometimes wasted as the story unfolds. The worst thing in this movie is Paul played by Lucas Bravo who is dating Julia Roberts character. He feels like a silly cartoon character delivering dialogue that falls flat. Unfortunately, the movie from beginning to end is predictable and lacked any surprises. “Ticket to Paradise” was a typical romantic comedy with star power behind it. I am giving “Ticket to Paradise” a 3/5 stars.
