Movie Review:

"Twisters," directed by Lee Isaac Chung, is a sequel to the 1996 disaster classic that successfully updates the story with compelling characters and great visual effects, making it a fun summer blockbuster. What sets this movie apart from the original is Daisy Edgar-Jones' performance as Kate Carter, a young retired tornado chaser who is haunted by her past. She really draws you in and makes you care about her character. The chemistry between her and Glenn Powell, who plays Tyler Owens, a reckless social media star who also chases tornadoes, is fantastic. Powell brings a charming and funny personality to the role, proving he's a true movie star.

Anthony Ramos shines as Javi, Kate's best friend and someone from her past, adding depth to his character and creating a great dynamic with Kate. The supporting cast, including David Corensweat, Brandon Perea, Sasha Lane, and Katy O'Brian, all deliver strong performances as part of the storm-chasing crew.

The CGI in the movie is top-notch, making the tornadoes look dangerous and terrifying, adding to the excitement of the film. However, the movie does get a bit repetitive as it focuses mainly on chasing tornadoes, which can make it drag a bit in the third act. Despite this, "Twisters" is still an entertaining and thrilling summer movie with an emotional story that will make you care about the characters. am giving “Twisters” a 4/5 stars.
